Stûv is a well-known brand in their segment. They craft high-end, design-forward pellet stoves, and they do it to the highest possible standards. Great hardware will always be the cornerstone of what they do, but they wanted to take things further. The company wanted to extend the user experience beyond the living room, connecting stoves to the cloud and enabling remote control, diagnostics, and maintenance.
The challenge was simple, but demanded absolute precision: we were to bring a traditionally offline product into the connected era without compromising customer expectations for a tried and true product they rely on. We were to enhance the premium Stûv brand, not complicate it.
Brilean designed and built the full IoT layer from the ground up.
We developed the embedded systems to collect and transmit live stove data, built the cloud backend to process and route that data, and designed the mobile app interface for everyday users.
The system supported real-time control of key functions — temperature, scheduling, energy usage — for both the P10 and P20 stove models. Users could monitor performance, adjust settings, and even receive alerts remotely. Distributors and support teams also gained backend tools for troubleshooting and proactive maintenance.
All of this ran on an infrastructure built for continuity, delivering enterprise-grade reliability across thousands of connected appliances.
