the brief

How do you get pharmacy professionals to study regulatory drug data in their free time? That was the challenge behind Game of Farma.

We wanted to make it a fun, competitive environment.

We were tasked with developing a gamified education platform crafted to help pharmacy students and professionals test their knowledge and achieve better results.

We set out to combine quiz mechanics with national-scale events, turning preparation for the workforce into a game with real stakes: rankings, prizes, and all the glorious prestige of topping the leaderboard.

Alas, playful doesn’t mean simple. The system had to support thousands of concurrent users, deliver flawless performance during live finals, and evolve season after season without ever going down. While it had to feel like a game, this was a serious app with a practical purpose.

what we did

Brilean joined from the ground up. We helped shape the product architecture, built the core tournament engine, and designed a backend that had to ensure consistency even under pressure.

Powering Seamless, Addictive Knowledge Challenges

Our engineering team developed secure login and tracking systems, a flexible scoring model, and an engine for real-time feedback.

For event organizers, we created a dedicated admin dashboard to prep and manage every round, whether it was a weekly challenge or a live final streamed to participants across the country. It was with great delight that we saw that over three full seasons and one in-person tournament, the system delivered uninterrupted service and rapid iteration with each new edition.

The result was a reliable, zero-friction platform that made what was undoubtedly complex pharmaceutical knowledge approachable. Maybe even a little addictive.
